Mortal Giants
After almost a century of post-war prosperity and unrivalled American power, we’ve entered a new era, growing uncertainty and realignment as many of the world’s nations now seek to challenge that dominance. And the race for American dominance in the development of artificial intelligence by just a tiny handful of tech billionaires has seemed to put us all on yet an even more perilous path.
If the world is changing at a dizzying pace, the forces driving that change are markedly different than they were a century ago. This podcast looks at the impact of China in the years ahead, examining the astonishing progress in new energy technologies, battery innovation and EV production as well as its conflict with American power over semiconductors and microchips and the geopolitical significant of Taiwan.

The Confessions of Anthony Raimondi
In 1978, Pope John Paul I was found dead in his bed just 33 days after he was elected. The official story is that he suffered a fatal heart attack. But in the years since his death, some have claimed that he was murdered to cover up crimes in the Vatican. The question of the Pope’s death has never been definitively answered, but there is one man who claims to know the truth.
A man from one of New York City’s crime families who has deep ties to the Italian mafia. He was there the day of the Pope’s death and witnessed his murder firsthand. Or, at least, that’s what he says. His name is Anthony Raimondi, and these are his confessions.

SOCIETY & CULTURE

Sixteenth Minute (of Fame)
Sixteenth Minute (of Fame) is a weekly show from Jamie Loftus that takes a closer look at the internet’s main characters - one part reported, one part interviews, and one part Jamie collapsing her permanently internet-damaged brain. Whether it’s an enduring meme or a dreaded Character of the Day distinction, it’s the kind of notoriety that often results in little money, unwarranted attention, and a confusing blurred line of consent. What do you do when you get more attention and judgement than any one person is built to handle? The Sixteenth Minute of Fame is the place where we figure that out, putting people in the context of the moment they’ve been frozen inside of.
